For those of you who have never heard of a guitar "scale," they are organized sequences of notes following a chord-like structure. These are what musicians use in their soling efforts. Here are the top 5 scales for beginners:
1. A-Minor Pentatonic Scale. This is by far the easiest and most frequently used guitar scale for beginners and even great guitarists. For example this scale was frequently used by B.B. King the king of blue and Eric Clapton as well! Here is a source that you can use to learn this scale: https://www.fender.com/play/lessons/show-me-a-minor-pentatonic
2. E-Minor Pentatonic Scale. This is the exact same scale as the previous A-Minor scale, however it is just in a different position on the fret board. This scale is frequently used as well. The only difference between positioning is that you are able to play open notes in this scale. 3. C-Major Scale. This is a much more tricky scale but it is frequently used in the guitar world as well. This is such a great scale because the C-Scale doesn't have any sharps or flats so it is easy to learn for beginners. Similar to the previous scale, this scale has open notes in it as well.
