Today's blog is going to include how to improve your guitar skills on a daily basis. None of these tactics are all that hard, but they have a huge impact on your ability to play. Here are some very simple ways to improve yourself as a guitarist and artist:

1. Play everyday. This one shouldn't be that big of a surprise, however, you know how skipping a few days can affect your ability to play smoothly!

2. Keep time. If you don't have one already go out and buy a metronome. You will be surprised how many extremely talented guitarists practice with a metronome everyday.

3. Practice your difficult chord changes. If you have trouble switching from an open D chord to a G chord, practice that over and over until you have it down perfect!

4. Scales. In my opinion and many other's opinions scales seem like the most boring thing on the planet. However, if you ever want to solo well, you NEED to practice your scales.

5. Master something. If you're having trouble with a lick or a song, don't stop until you can do it with your eyes closed. Little do you know, the confidence and muscle memory that comes with mastery is what makes you a great guitar player.

6. Dedication. This is one of the most important lessons to learn as a beginning guitarist. If you aren't going to play until your fingers hurt, you shouldn't practice at all. You need to be dedicated towards improving yourself everyday!
